A meeting on Monday at the Ministry of Labour ended without a resolution to the industrial dispute at the Bank of Jamaica.
The Ministry intervened, following the serving of a 72-hour Notice of Industrial Action by the Bustamante Industrial Trade Union (BITU).
The parties have agreed to attend another meeting on April 11.
“We are prepared to go back to the table,” Kavan Gayle, BITU President-General, told RJR News.
He explained that, during the discussions on Monday, the Ministry of Labour asked the central bank to provide additional information “that would assist the process.”
The dispute is in relation to alleged anomalies in the compensation structure at the Bank of Jamaica.
