  • LAC discussing Flexi-Work Arrangements

    The decision for further discussions follows an appeal from the President of the Bustamante Industrial Trade Union (BITU), Senator Kavan Gayle, recently for further dialogue before the bill is debated in the House of Representatives.

    Gayle said that the BITU wanted resources to be included in the 2014/15 budget, to meet the cost of a public education programme, as well as to improved facilities at the Ministry of Labour and Social Security to accommodate workers and employers in need of advice, when industrial relations disputes arise from the flexitime arrangements.
